And how do we enforce license agreement when we hand out DVDs? There is no
way to control how many times a DVD is copied within a given group /
enterprise …

Will IEEE allow this option? How do we enforce the license agreement?

My personal opinion aligns closely with the “none of the above” –
organizing a one-time download option locally hosted by VerliLAN during
plenaries would have essentially cost zero and I already run (again,
personally) into problems with DVD quality, where content would not be read
by different DVD readers. Electronic download solves that problem
altogether

Dear EC,
My "2 cents worth" is in support of Adrian's "none of the above" option.
It seems simpler to allow those who want a copy to be able to download it.

Hello all,
I don’t mind which solution we end up with. $5k is not something we
should spend a lot of time agonizing over.
Of USB vs DVD, I prefer DVD, because storage of DVDs is easier than
storage of assorted shape-and-size usb adapters. I do have a DVD drive in
my laptop.
My preference is none of the above – i.e. electronic access during the
meeting to an image of the DVD that could be downloaded.

Dear WG Chairs,
On the heels of the discussion of DVD versus Memory sticks at the July
Closing Plenary – I had some individuals approach me and highlight that
they are aware of a number of companies that have issues with memory sticks
– and may actually take the contents of the memory sticks and then copy to
a drive on the network.
I am requesting that you try and get some input for me on the topic of
memory sticks from participants in your WG and have the individuals email
me if they have issues with memory sticks.
I need to get this information quickly in order to begin the task of
preparations for the 2016 electronic media distribution, so a prompt
response will be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
