Tony raised a good point. I would prefer:
"Nowhere does the announcement state the difference between a
forum-defined specification and an authentic IEEE Standard."
I think that Tony's version somewhat suggests that the production of
the specification is in the future. In contrast, the tone of the
press release is that the specification is already complete. For
example, consider the title ("BROADBAND WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS
GAINS HIGH SPEED STANDARD").
