[802SEC] IEEE P802.3.2 (IEEE 802.3cf) draft PAR and CSD response - Ethernet YANG data model definitions
Dear EC members,
In support of subclause 10.2 'IEEE 802 LMSC Approval' of the LMSC Operations Manual please find below the required information in respect to the IEEE P802.3.2 (IEEE 802.3cf) Standard for Ethernet YANG data model definitions PAR for consideration at the July 2016 plenary.
Best regards,
David

Draft PAR: <http://ieee802.org/3/YANG/public/may16/IEEE_P802d3d2_230516_PAR.pdf>
CSD responses: <http://ieee802.org/3/YANG/public/may16/YANG_SG_draft_csd_v1.4.pdf>
[2] Explanatory technical background material:
YANG (IETF RFC 6020) is a formalized data modeling language that can be used by NETCONF (IETF RFC 6241), a widely accepted network configuration protocol. Other standards development organizations (e.g., Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF)) have adopted YANG, and are developing a broad range of YANG data models. Development of standardized YANG models for IEEE Std 802.3 Ethernet will help to reduce the operational cost of managing Ethernet networks.
[3] Status of the development of the PAR:
The draft PAR and CSD responses are pending IEEE 802.3 Working Group approval at the July 2016 plenary.
