March 2012 Plenary or March 2011 Plenary (see below)?

Hi Roger, Both of these are functions that were specifically requested by
our host organizations in exchange for their pledges of support for our
Plenary Session.
1) The 802 Welcome to Singapore by our Singapore Hosts (Mon 11:15 am) is a
half-hour meeting open to all 802 attendees during which our 3 Host
organizations: the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), the Infocomm Development
Authority (IDA) of Singapore, and the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R)
of the Agency for Science, Technology, and Research (A-STAR) are allowed up
to 10 minutes each to address our membership to introduce themselves and
their organizations and to extend their welcome to the IEEE-802 community
for bringing the >>>March 2012 Plenary<<< Session to Singapore. They may
each
offer a couple of suggestions for special things to see and do while in
Singapore. There are brief descriptions of each Host organization posted on
the Plenary Session Portal together with links to their websites for more
detailed information.
2) The Wednesday Evening Host (IDA & I2R) Technical Plenary (6-7pm) is the
chance for our two technical agency sponsors to present information on their
missions and their current sponsored R&D projects which they believe would
be of interest to the IEEE-802 community at large. This would be just prior
to the Wednesday Evening Social (7-10pm) where the speakers would be
available for introductions and Q&A with individual members on topics of
mutual interest.
I know that neither of these arrangements are optimal but they were arrived
at by a compromise between what was requested and what was offered.
Thanx, Buzz

Buzz,
Can you tell us more about the following?:
(1) 802 Welcome to Singapore by our Hosts (Mon 11:15 am)
(2) Wednesday Evening Host (IDA & I2R) Technical Plenary (6-7pm)
I'd like to understanding the agendas and the participation expectations.
Thanks,
Roger
