[802SEC] Conditional approval report on 802.11REV-ma

802 EC Members,

On behalf of my Task Group MA Chair Bob O'Hara, and myself.

Fellow members of the EC,

The material below is a report to satisfy the requirements of the
Conditional Approval procedure in Clause 20 of the 802 LMSC Policies and
Procedures.

Ballot: 802.11REV-ma draft 9.0
Ballot Open Date: 10/23/2006
Ballot Close Date: 11/07/2006

RESPONSE RATE
This ballot has met the 75% returned ballot requirement.

145 eligible people in this ballot group.

111 affirmative votes
  5 negative votes with comments
  0 negative votes without comments
  6 abstention votes

122 votes received = 84 % returned
  5 % abstention

APPROVAL RATE
The 75% affirmation requirement is being met.

111 affirmative votes
  5 negative votes with comments
116 votes = 96% affirmative

There were no new negative votes, no new issues, and no technical comments.
There were two editorial comments and two general comments received on the
final recirculation.

The two editorial comments were submitted by approve voters. These will be
submitted to the IEEE project editor for determination of the action to be
taken.

The two general comments were submitted by a previous negative voter, who
continues to vote in the negative. One comment indicates that the comment
resolution file could not be found. This comment is invalid, as all the
comment resolutions are available through the same MyBallot web interface as
was used to provide this comment. The second comment reiterates an
identical comment by the same voter on the previous ballot. This comment
has been recirculated previously and has gained no additional support.
Therefore, there are no new comments supporting negative votes.

No changes to the draft have been made as a result of the comments received
during recirculation.

The report of comments supporting negative votes is attached.

Bob O'Hara and I believe that this meets the requirements for conditional
approval and will be placing 802.11REV-ma on the REVCOM agenda at the
earliest opportunity.

- Stuart and Bob
