[802SEC] Definition of "Affiliation"--discussion during rules meeting 8-8:30pm Sunday 5MAR
Dear EC members,
Mat Sherman has agreed to allocate 30 minutes of time (8-8:30pm) during
tonight's (Sunday 5MAR) rules meeting to developing a definition of
'affiliation' with regards to my request on the disclosure of affiliation
for EC members and their WG/TAG leadership. Attached below is the ANSI
definition, which I think is a good starting point--but we may be able to
improve it for 802 LMSC application. The IEEE SA counsel, Michael Lindsay,
may be able to join us for this discussion and I encourage all the EC
members that have raised concerns about a developing proper definition
participate.
My objective will be to develop a draft definition tonight that I can
present to the EC (perhaps for approval at the opening EC meeting) and to
the body of 802 during the opening plenary meeting.
Regards,
--Paul
