[802SEC] 802.11y PAR and 5C Position and WG Vote
802 EC Members,
As promised at the EC meeting this morning I am informing you of the
result of the WG position regarding the 802.11y PAR and 5C (from the
Contention Based Protocol SG) for consideration by the EC for approval to
forward to NesCom at Friday's 802 EC closing meeting.
1) During the 802.11 WG Opening Plenary today the voting membership passed
the following motion:
- Move to remove the 802.11y PAR and 5C from the 802 EC agenda for July
2005.
Moved: Jan Kruys
Second: Harry Worstell
Motion Passed: 132 / 2 / 10
2) Subsequently the 802.11 WG made the following motion:
- Move to extended the CBP SG up to and including the November 2005
Plenary.
Moved: Harry Worstell
Second: Clint Chaplin
Motion Passed: 103 / 0 / 12
Thereby the 802.11 WG will request that 802 EC extend the CBP SG within a
motion at the Friday 802 EC Closing Meeting, as an agenda item.
