If any of these projects will not be submitted to RevCom by the submittal deadline for the December 2023 meeting, you need to take one of the following steps:
1. Request an extension for the project (PAR). Significant justification must be provided for an extension request that exceeds two years. Please note, submitting a PAR extension request will not extend the life of a standard that expires at the end of 2023. Please see these FAQs about Maintenance of Standards.
2. Request withdrawal of the project (PAR).
Log in to myProject (https://development.standards.ieee.org) to submit a request for either of these actions under the link for 'Submit a PAR'. Once submitted, the request to Extend an Approved PAR or the request to Withdraw an Approved PAR will be placed on the agenda of the next scheduled NesCom meeting. NesCom will make its recommendation based upon the information provided.
There are four submittal deadlines remaining for the year:
19 May 2023
11 August 2023
13 September 2023
16 October 2023
If there is no response to this notification by the 16 October 2023 NesCom/RevCom submittal deadline, the PARs will be recommended for administrative withdrawal at the 06 December 2023 IEEE SA Standards Board meeting.
The upcoming NesCom/RevCom meetings and submittal deadlines can be found on this calendar: https://standards.ieee.org/wp-content/uploads/import/governance/sasb/2023calendar.pdf. The next submittal deadline is 19 May 2023 for the June NesCom/RevCom meetings.
