Effective immediately, IEEE SA is offering WebEx accounts to its standards committees and working group officers. We will continue to provide our current teleconference software, JoinMe, until contract termination on 03 May 2020. If you have regularly scheduled meetings, don’t worry: Meetings will be available until the end of the contract. If you choose to use the IEEE SA-provided WebEx account prior to the JoinMe contract end date, you may do so, as it will not negatively affect your current JoinMe account. If you do, please remember to update your meeting invitations with the correct WebEx access information. We would like to thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to your IEEE standards development efforts and, hopefully, this change in teleconference software will make remote participation more productive. Implementation Details: The IEEE SA shall provide accounts to any existing JoinMe user account that has been used within the last 12 months. Automated notices will be sent out by WebEx, so please be on the lookout for those. If you do not receive a notice and still need a WebEx account for your working group please access the following link: https://ieee-sa.imeetcentral.com/webex Once you have accessed the link, your request will be verified by IEEE staff and an account should be provided within 3 to 5 business days. Note that verification includes ensuring that the requestor is an officer of a current IEEE SA working group or other related activity. Details about WebEx: The WebEx service that will be provided is similar to JoinMe. Accessing the WebEx service will be via International Toll and VoIP only.
