Good suggestion George If this is not done there could be a divergence – but the simple reaffirmation means the document needs to reviewed to make sure there wasn’t! From: ***** IEEE 802 Executive Committee List ***** <STDS-802-SEC@ieee.org> On Behalf Of George Zimmerman Steve – to that end, it might make sense to re-affirm the coexistence document in the SA ballot period. You’re right, that generally this should be an unchanged thing, but in the case where it might change in SA ballot, it would seem reasonable to have a check on it. At first I thought the reaffirmation of the CSDs would take care of it, but that just asks ‘will a CA document be produced?’ From: ***** IEEE 802 Executive Committee List ***** <STDS-802-SEC@ieee.org> On Behalf Of Steve Shellhammer John, The reasoning has been that this needs to be handled early on during the WG letter ballot. Also, those of us within 802 are familiar with our Coexistence Process, so they are not surprised to see a CA document along with the WG letter ballot. It is unlikely that anyone not involved directly in 802 would know what to do with the CA document. If a big change did happen during Sponsor Ballot a voter could make a comment regarding that section of the draft and its impact on coexistence. We of course can discuss this more when we review these documents. ------------------ James, I would like to notify my WG when these two documents will be considered by the Rules Committee. I assume that will be at the March Rules meeting on Sunday night. Is that correct? Regards, Steve From: jdambrosia@gmail.com <jdambrosia@gmail.com> Steve, Can you comment on why the coexistence assessment is not being done as part of Sponsor Ballot? It would seem to me that changes could you be made during Sponsor Ballot that would impact the coexistence assessment that was done during WG ballot. Thanks John From: ***** IEEE 802 Executive Committee List ***** <STDS-802-SEC@ieee.org> On Behalf Of Steve Shellhammer James and EC Members, The IEEE 802.19 WG voted to approve the following document and submit to the IEEE 802 Rules Committee for their consideration.
