Dear EC Members,
I would like to announce the start of an EC ballot
to the FCC Request for Comments on the 5GAA petition for waiver to use C-V2X in the top 20 MHz of the U-NII-4 5.9 GHz band and for DSRC operation to vacate those channels. The deadline for
comments is 18 January 2019.
Paul has delegated to me to conduct an EC 5 day early close electronic ballot on the motion below. To ensure this motion is decided before the 18 January 2019 FCC filing deadline I'm requesting
an 'early close' to this ballot (see below).
side note: yes, the government is in shut down mode at this point including the FCC. the FCC sent out a PN that if the government is still shut down at a due date, the due date will be the
day after the government opens up. hence, with this due date next friday, if the government happens to open by thursday, we still need to get comments in next friday.
This EC motion is per 802 OM 7.2 Procedure for communication with government bodies.
Move to approve the comments in https://mentor.ieee.org/802.18/dcn/18/18-18-0159-06-0000-fcc-gn-18-357-5gaa-waiver-ieee-802-comments.docx
to FCC’s request for comments (GN Docket No. 18-357) on 5GAA’s Petition for Waiver for use of C-V2X in the U-NII-4 band. With the chair of 802.18 to have editorial privileges and send to the FCC
on or before 18 January 2019.
