Karen,

The 802.18 RR TAG and I made some minor edits to the draft statement, the revised document is at https://mentor.ieee.org/802-ec/dcn/18/ec-18-0010-00-00EC-input-to-draft-sa-spectrum-position.docx.  Please keep me posted on its progress.

Karen,

Thank you for the update.  The 802.18 Radio Regulatory Technical Advisory Group is reviewing the draft at their interim session this week and will have some comments for consideration.  I've copied the chair and vice-chair of 80218 on this message.

Paul
We will be discussing it at the Public Policy Advisory Group meeting--which is in the process of being scheduled and we anticipate that meeting to be in the next two weeks. With this, there have not been updates to the document.

Best regards,
Karen

Subject: IEEE-SA draft position paper on the use of Spectrum

Dear all,
The IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA) is in the process of developing a high level policy position statement on the use of Spectrum. Per the SA's processes, the IEEE-SA Board of Governors (BoG) Strategic Planning Coordination Committee has reviewed and the IEEE-SA BoG (at its 5-6 December meeting) agreed to socialize it, per the GPPC process, with interested parties.

With this, please find attached a draft of the position, along with a comment form. We would greatly appreciate if you could provide comments by 22 December. We have provided the comment sheet, but if you find it easier to provide comments in the document with track changes on that works as well.

Please also advise if there are others that you think should review the statement.

Best regards,
Karen
