Hello Pat,
Why did you send this specifically to me?
Comments:
No slide numbers visible
Slide 10 - remove the "Wireless new member orient". The wireless chairs agreed to stop new member orientation.
During wireless interims, the 802.11 new member orientation (generally on Monday morning) has been broadened
to be applicable to wireless groups.
Slide 19 or somewhere - you might mention the public review process, which starts with initial sponsor ballot and
lasts 60 days.
Slide 20 - "May require submitting a letter of intent." immediately begs the question "how do I find out"? I think
802.3 require those seeking membership to declare it in a meeting. 802.11 has automatic transition.

I have posted a draft update of the Newcomer tutorial. I failed to get it to John early enough for him to comment so at this point figured I'd post it for general comment.
Here's a summary of what I did
Changed the date on the cover to 7 July 2017. We can update to the exact day when it is posted but I figured I'd put something sensible in there just in case we forget.I did some minor clean-up, changed 802.15's name on the org slides to match their new name.Moved 802.17 to disbandedChecked that all officer names were up to date. (I could take off the people names and put a link to http://ieee802.org/wgchairs.shtml instead to reduce the frequency of update needed but it seems more friendly to have the names on it.)
Did a bit of tweaking on the structure of the week slide to add WG mid-week plenaries and Thursday evening WG closing plenaries.
Minor tweaking/clean-up on process slides - the most substantive was to add PAR &CSD ready? to the transition from Study Group to WG. In principle.
I thought about adding something on IMAT on or after slide 20 but I didn't do it. I kind of like keeping this free of tool details because tools change. Should I add "participants are responsible for accurately recording their attendance"?
I hope it is clear to presenters that when they get to slide 24, that they are supposed to actually show the slides in the links. I added a presenter note. Do you think I should change the text on the slide to say:Show the slide set at:....?
Added the IEEE 802 participation slide link.
