Paul-
There needs to be a correction sent to the Standards Association regarding the recent mailing of the SA-Newswire. Given that it is an "all 802" error and the extent to which it is featured, I think the correction should come from you.
In the 3rd line it says: "This standard is part of the IEEE 802.2.1™ revision project" which, of course, it is not. There is no IEEE 802.2 standard, it has been withdrawn. There is not now, nor has there ever been an IEEE 802.2.1 standard, thus it is not being revised and (I assume) neither has the term "802.2.1" been trademarked.
I assume that this is the result of a typographical error and should have read: "This standard is part of the IEEE 802.21™ revision project"
(but I am not an 802.21 expert)
Best regards,
Geoff

| Advancing Technology for the Benefit of Humanity Using Open Source Technology While open source software and open standards serve many common goals, there are important differences in the rules and legal tools that have evolved to address their development and use. Just as in open standards development, open source developers can choose from a wide range of rules and tools. This webinar will examine some of those variations.
