Re: [802SEC] EC Interim Telecon - Feb 7-802.15 consent agenda item

Good suggestion. We will add that sentence since it is improving
clarity and not modifying the technical content. See attached.

Jon, can you modify the motion to reflect 107-01 rather thn
1107-00? Thanks

The response to the comment is
lengthy and doesn't state a concise conclusion.Â
Isn't the frequency separation and low transmit power enough to ensure
that the HBC PHY doesn't interfere with CCCC PHY? If so, why bring up low
duty cycle and access method?
Also, the response seems directed at saying HBC won't interfere with
CCCC, but coexistence goes two ways. Should something be said about the
frequency/power limits on the CCCC PHY signal that ensure it won't
interfere with CCCC?
How about adding a summary sentence at the end such as: The transmit
power limitation and frequency separation ensure that the two PHYs can
coexist so no additional interference avoidance mechanism is
needed.

- Hi all-
- Background:Â Last year, the 802.15 WG sent IEEE Std
802.15.6-2012 to SC6 for fast-track adoption under the ISO/IEEE PSDO
Agreement. In response to that submission, the WG received comments which
can be found in 15-17-0108-00-0000. Document 15-17-0107-00-0000 is
the response to those comments. They are also attached since they are
brief. The WG ballot to approve these response ends Feb 4 @ 6pm et, but
it has already passed unanimously so far. I will update the EC with the
final numbers after the ballot closes tomorrow
