[802SEC] Who is the client?
Paul-
With respect to how to get attorney-client work product released from its "privileged" status.
The attorney can never release it. The privilege belongs to the client.
The question then becomes "who is the client?"
Dr. Glib said that the n (large number) of IEEE members are the client.
That may strictly be true but it is non functional answer.
The functional question is: Who does the attorney consider to be the client.
I assume that would nominally be Konstantine but his judgement should be able to be overridden by an appropriate representative of the BoG, presumably the President.
In any case, this is a VERY valid question. You should ask Claire. It would be highly appropriate for there to be a written answer for this.
Best regards,
Geoff
