Dear David, It looks like some of them might use help in identifying the WGs of interest. Dr. Karan Verma put 802.11 and none for WGs of interest, but Dr. Verma’s statement of interests talks a lot about security and privacy so 802.1, especially its
security task group, should be suggested as an additional WG to visit. Ms. Suprita doesn’t list 802.1 but describes an interest in SDN and NFV related work so 802.1 might also be relevant.
BTW, NFV actually stands for Network Function Virtualization Regards, Pat From: ***** IEEE 802 Executive Committee List ***** [mailto:STDS-802-SEC@ieee.org]
On Behalf Of Glenn Parsons Colleagues, We have now confirmed the following fellowship recipients to attend the IEEE 802 Plenary in March: Dr. Leandro Melo de Sales Ms. Suprita Dr. Karan Verma We had hoped to confirm more, but the candidates had conflicts. Attached please find a summary sheet of their interests. Given their indicated primary interest in 802.15, 802.11 and 802.16, I have asked Bob,
Adrian and Roger to help identify mentors. The mentors will help guide the fellowship recipients through the technical aspects of the plenary meeting. We are still working out the logistics, but would expect a similar arrangement as we had in November. As in November, Jodi Haasz (j.haasz@ieee.org) will be coordinating
the fellowship recipients during the meeting. Cheers, Glenn. -- Glenn Parsons - Chair, IEEE 802.1 +1-613-963-8141 ---------- This email is sent from the 802 Executive Committee email reflector. This list is maintained by Listserv.
