Dear Paul, Will we form a standing committee to work with Jim regarding this relationship? Transportation related standards are spread across many (most?) of our Working Groups so probably
no single person has the combined knowledge to represent our interests. IEEE 802.3 has three PHY projects and PoDL (power over single twisted-pair PHYs) targeted at automotive/transportation. IEEE 802.1 TSN work and IEEE 802.3br are to meet the needs of transportation networks (as well as other time sensitive applications. On Behalf Of Paul Nikolich Dear EC Members, The 802/SCC42 agreement has been fully executed and uploaded to the 802 Executive Committee Documents Mentor directory,
https://mentor.ieee.org/802-ec/dcn/15/ec-15-0075-00-00EC-802-scc42-liaison-agreement.pdf. Adrian has put nominated Jim Lansford to be the 802 liaison representative given his DSRC tiger team experience, I agree. I need to confirm with Jim that he is willing to serve in that capacity,
assuming he responds positively, I will appoint him in that role. JohnD, please determine where a link to the document should be placed in the 802 web pages and create that link. Regards, --Paul ---------- This email is sent from the 802 Executive Committee email reflector. This list is maintained by Listserv. |
