Dear EC Members,
Paul has delegated the conduct of the EC electronic ballot on the following motion to me. To ensure this response is sent as soon as practical I'm announcing the possibility of an 'early close' to this ballot (see below).
The proposed SC6 response on IEEE Std 802 comments was reviewed in 802.1 at its January interim and approved. Further consultation with the 802 JTC1 SC resulted in further improvements to the response. In keeping with previous SC6 comments, it was recommended that this response be approved by the EC. The SC6 FDIS ballot will proceed on IEEE Std. 802 after the receipt of this response.
Regards,
Glenn
Motion
======
Approve the IEEE 802 liaison response to China NB comments on IEEE Std. 802 during pre-ballot under PSDO in the attached document (liaison-parsons-SC6_response_Std802-0115-v2.docx)
Move: Glenn Parsons
Second: Adrian Stephens
Start of ballot: Friday February 6, 2015
Close of ballot: Monday February 16, 2015, 11:59PM AOE
Early close: As required in subclause 4.1.2 'Voting rules' of the IEEE 802 LAN/MAN Standards Committee (LMSC) Operations Manual, this is notice that, to ensure the release is provided in a timely manner, this ballot may close early once sufficient responses are received to clearly decide a matter.
