Paul,
If for no other reason than continuity let's have 802.18 add this to the agenda and process the reply. Please advise if that works for you. Best regards, Mike Sent from my Windows Phone From: Paul Nikolich Sent: 7/8/2014 16:41 To: STDS-802-SEC@LISTSERV.IEEE.ORG Subject: [802SEC] Response to March 802 letter from 3GPP RAN Dear EC members,
Attached is the response from the 3GPP TSG RAN Chair, Dino Flore, to the letter we sent them in March.
At the opening EC meeting, I will ask for a group to volunteer agenda time and space to prepare a formal response to Dino sometime during the week. During March, the 802.18 TAG hosted the initial discussion. Please let me know if your group has interest
and available agenda space/time. If there isn't space/time/interest by any group, I'll host the discussion/preparation in the EC boardroom. Once we settle on specifics, we will post the information broadly to ensure all interested parties have the ability
to participate.
Regards,
--Paul

Subject: Response LS from 3GPP RAN
Dear Paul,
Last week we discussed in 3GPP RAN the LS from IEEE 802 LMSC and sent the response LS in RP-140999.
In addition, when 3GPP RAN starts working on LTE operation in unlicensed spectrum, we would be delighted if you or your nominee representing IEEE 802 LMSC could attend a 3GPP meeting and give us a presentation sharing your experience & lessons learned when dealing with coexistence in unlicensed spectrum. I will send you more details on this later. The Study Item proposal will be discussed for approval at the plenary meeting in September. If this is approved in September, the presentation will be sometime in Q4-14.
Finally, as mentioned in the LS, last Friday we had a workshop on LTE in unlicensed operation. You can find my summary here.
Best Regards,
Dino
