Dear EC members, At the March 2014 IEEE 802 Plenary meeting, conditional approval was granted to forward IEEE P802.3bm 40 Gb/s and 100 Gb/s Operation Over Fiber Optic Cables to Sponsor ballot. Details are provided in the attached report, but in summary the response to the IEEE 802 LMSC Operations Manual Clause 12 'Procedure for conditional approval to forward a draft standard' items are as follows: a) The recirculation balloting is complete. The second recirculation ballot occurred essentially in accordance of the plan presented. b) The approval rate after resolution of the recirculation ballot is greater than 75% and there are no disapprove votes. c) No technical changes have been made. d) There are no disapprove votes. e) There are no disapprove votes. f) Please see attached for the date the ballot closed and the vote tally. The IEEE P802.3bm comment resolution meeting took place last week and as a result of that meeting the one comment submitted was withdrawn and the one remaining disapprove balloter flipped his ballot to approve with comment. As a result of this I'm reporting that the approval rate after resolution of the recirculation ballot is 100%. Based on the above I will go ahead and submit IEEE P802.3bm to sponsor ballot. Best regards, David ---------- This email is sent from the 802 Executive Committee email reflector. This list is maintained by Listserv.
