[802SEC] Motion Passes: EC Motion to allow ITU Staff to Attend the White Space Standardization in IEEE 802 Show and Tell Meeting

Dear All,

 

Following is the tally of the responses of the EC members so far for the amended motion below. Based on the responses received and the Early Close condition, the Motion Passes.

 

The attached flyer has been prepared in consultation with Mr. Paul Nikolich and it has received approval from the IEEE staff and marketing.

Dear EC Members,

 

IEEE 802 has a unique opportunity to talk about the Spectrum Sharing and White Space Standardization activities that are on-going within the various 802 working groups during our July Plenary at the ITU.
ITU is interested in this topic, given the recent announcement as can be seen below.

 

IEEE 802.22 WG has been in discussions with other WGs that are involved in White Space Standardization to organize a Joint Show and Tell Meeting during the Tuesday, July 16th AM2 Time Slot. The location and meeting room has been allocated

We would like to make a motion that EC allows opening up this Show and Tell Meeting to the ITU Staff Members and General Audience during the Tuesday AM2 Time Slot.

Move that ITU Staff Members, Officers and General Audience be allowed to attend the IEEE 802 Spectrum Sharing and White Space Standardization Show and Tell Meeting during the Tuesday, July 16th, AM2 Time Slot of the IEEE 802 Plenary Meeting at no charge.

Early close: As required in subclause 4.1.2 'Voting Rules' of the IEEE project 802 LAN/MAN Standards Committee (LMSC) Operations Manual (v11 approved 16 Nov 2012) , 
this is notice that, to ensure the release is provided in a timely manner, this ballot may close early once sufficient responses are received to clearly decide a matter.
