Since I don't want to hijack Adrian's interesting thread about superseded drafts, I'm starting a new one on a related issue involving superseded standards. Last week, I added an item to the EC Workshop Agenda Issue Request Table. It says: Standards are removed from the Get IEEE 802 program when they are superseded, even if the superseding standard is not yet in the program. For example, when a new revision is published, the prior revision and the prior amendments are all deleted. For six months, the material is not available in the program. I prefer to see if we can find a way to avoid that six-month hole. I'm suggesting that we discuss it at the workshop, but I'm also happy to hear comments on the reflector, especially now that Adrian's note has stimulated discussion of related issues.
