[802SEC] FW: Proposed Meeting Dates for US SG1, WP1A/B/C

Please find below the link that will take you to the announcement of the ITU-R WP1A meeting. No TIES account is needed to access the Circular Letter.
Note that contributions to WP1A must be received by the ITU-R NLT 16:00 UTC on June 30, 2012. That is the time limit for the receipt of an initial IEEE 802 contribution (even if only a statement of interest and intention to provide material to answer Question ITU-R 236/1). While the date for completion of this work is 2016 through ITU administrative procedures the results can be approved prior to that date. An explanation of that process can be accessed in Paragraph 1 of the announcement. The net result is that recommendations on the technical aspects for wireless in Smart Grid management (and appropriate spectrum) could be available in time for WRC-15. A WRC is, like any Member State, sovereign and can add (or delete) items from the "approved" agenda.
