Re: [802SEC] Waikoloa lunches
Minimally it would be nice to allow participants to opt out of the lunch at registration.
Thanks!

Buzz,
There was discussion during the meeting that buffet lunches are really heavier than what most attendees want in addition to being inexpensive and that a hybrid between 2 and 3 of included in registration "grab and go" box lunches should be investigated. My preference would be to do that for all the days and not do a buffet lunch at all. I've been at meetings where that was done and it worked well.

Hi Bob, One other possibility would be to have them do box lunches ready
to go which would only cost us $20. each for part of the days (e.g. Monday &
Wednesday) and we'll have a set-up area outside for them to sit and eat or
they can choose to go sit by the pool or the lagoon, or go back to their
meeting room or hotel room. That helps keep the costs down and they get
some variety during the week. :-)
Thanx, Buzz

The summary of advice from WGs is that when guessing at the skew from 802.15
and 802.22, the preferred choice for lunch is a subsidized buffet lunch,
with grab and go lunch a close second. (The chart not including numbers
from the above groups obviously shows a different result.
Buzz, Jon, Bob in consultation with Dawn will make a choice considering
these preferences and any new input received to refine pricing. The meeting
fee will be announced and registration opened as soon as those responsible
for meeting planning verify that no significant change to the assumptions on
which the poll was based are discovered.
Additional comments are welcome. Most likely, the meeting fee will be
increased.
