[802SEC] Currently active standards
Colleagues, especially WG Chairs-
I have always felt that the IEEE-SA "should" be able to provide us (and
the rest of the world) the precise answer to the following question:
"What is the complete list/set of currently approved IEEE 802
Standards?"
This was easy in days of yore but has been a challenge recently since
the demise of the printed catalog and the difficulties that the SA has
had with their search tools.
Kathyrn Bennett has recently provided me with a list (attached) which
she thinks is pretty good.
It looks pretty good to me but I think it should be checked.
Would you please review this list, specifically
- Check (or have checked) the accuracy and completeness of the
entries for the standards developed by your WG.
- Check the accuracy for the entries for documents from WGs that
are no longer active
Please get back to me before the closing EC meeting.
The international versions of things are listed at the end. I consider
that to be a separate problem to be worked on later.
With luck and a little work we can get this list to be completely
accurate and then keep it up to date.
Thanks for your help,
Best regards,
Geoff
