Dear EC,
As I mentioned during the last EC telecon, 802.16 needs to split both of its two existing amendment PARs (802.16p and 802.16n) to accommodate the fact that the base standard being amended is being split into two (802.16 and 802.16.1).
According to the Operations Manual, "At the discretion of the IEEE 802 LMSC Chair, ... PAR changes essential to the orderly conduct of business (e.g., division of existing work items...) may be placed on the Sponsor agenda if delivered to Sponsor members 48 hours in advance."
If you have comments, I'd appreciate receiving them by 5 pm Atlanta time on Tuesday 8 November.
The four PAR drafts are as follows:
Proposed Modification to P802.16n PAR
