Re: [802SEC] IEEE-802 Plenary in Geneva - July 14-19, 2013
Yaaayyy Glenn, That's really exciting news !!! I know our folks were all
hoping for this one to come through. So all we really need for sure at
this point is a letter indicating an invitation to host the July 14-19, 2013
Plenary Session on the ITU Campus in Geneva, the meeting spaces that will be
made available for no charge, and that the ITU discount hotels rates will be
available for our group members during the July 6-28, 2013 timeframe. We
would like to have that letter available in time for consideration at the
July 17-22, 2011 Plenary Session in San Francisco. The letter could be from
you as the Host representative but if you can include someone authorized to
make official commitments for the ITU Organization that would be even
better. Hopefully we will get a commitment from the EC in San Francisco,
and then we can start our detailed planning and agreement process so we have
an unambiguous description of the agreement between our organizations so
there are no surprises later on. Does that sound like a workable plan ???
J
Thanx, Buzz

Buzz,
The CICG facility is now available again (the reservations have cleared).
So ITU is now looking into the details of booking this again.
Assuming this goes through, what do we need to present for July?
Cheers,
Glenn.

Hey Glenn, You said we would get a final decision on Geneva for July 2013
this June. Do we have a Go/NoGo on that yet ??? We need time to prepare
other options for July 2013 to present in San Francisco if it is a NoGo.
Can you give us an answer at this time ???
Thanx, Buzz
