David,
This topic is interesting and after going to the NetFPGA website I want to learn more.
However, based on Pat' s e-mail, I am not sure if the following questions can be effectively answered:
* Explore possible new directions for 802 efforts
* Summarize ongoing major work of Study Group or WG or TAG.
* Describe basic 802 or other standards process.
Any chance that we can ask the folks from Stanford to answer these questions for us before we make the decision.
Thanks
Apurva

Subject: [802SEC] +++ 10-day EC Email Ballot +++ NetFPGA tutorial
Dear EC members,
As discussed on the EC conference call, as well as the email chain<http://www.ieee802.org/secmail/msg13641.html>, the NetFPGA team would like to offer a NetFPGA tutorial at the IEEE plenary in San Francisco. Based on this Paul has delegated the conduct of the EC electronic ballot on the following motion to me. To ensure this is decided as soon as practical I am announcing the possibility of an 'early close' to this ballot (see below).
Best regards,
David
Motion

The EC supports including a NetFPGA tutorial at the July IEEE 802 plenary meeting.
Move: David Law
Second: Geoff Thompson

Early close: As required in subclause 4.1.2.2 'Electronic Balloting' of the IEEE project 802 LAN/MAN Standards Committee (LMSC) Operations Manual, this is notice that, to ensure the release is provided in a timely manner, this ballot may close early once sufficient responses are received to clearly decide a matter.
