Re: [802SEC] RR-TAG Conference Call - November 19th, 2010
Dear Mike,
Thanks for organizing the call for tomorrow.
IEEE 802.22 WG is having its meeting tonight to review the OfCom and ECC reports and formulate our responses if any. We could not meet earlier because of the WG rules.
We are hoping to send you something later tonight or first thing tomorrow if that is acceptable to you.
Please advise.
Thanks once again,
Apurva

Subject: [802SEC] FW: RR-TAG Conference Call - November 19th, 2010
Dear EC and RR-TAG,
This is to remind those interested in the Ofcom TVWS consultation and the ECC proposed TVWS rules that 802.18 will host a conference call tomorrow (19th November) regarding these two documents. The 10th November AM1 meeting in Dallas determined that this was the best way forward.
The call will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. CST.
The bridge number is 1.888.676.3321.
The pass code is 4512943#.
The documents for the conference call are on the 802.18 Mentor web site and are:
18-10-0070 - Ofcom consultation on implementing geolocation - comments due December 7th.
18-10-0066 - Draft ECC Rep. 159 CR in White Spaces - comments due on November 30th.
In the original announcement for this call interested WGs were requested to a) review the documents and b) develop any views prior to the call and c) submit them to the RR-TAG chair NLT the close of business CST on November 17th. To date no inputs have been received. The deadline for submissions is now moved to CoB today, 18th November. If no contributions are received today the call will be canceled.
The agenda for the call is:
1) Attendance and other administrative matters
2) Review and discussion of proposed comments regarding the UK Ofcom consultation.
3) Review and discussion of proposed comments regarding the ECC proposed TVWS rules.
4) Motions and voting on the proposed comments.
5) Adjournment.
Eligible voters are those with voting rights in 802.18. That group includes the chairs of the wireless WGs. This is the same voter pool that was previously successfully used in developing contributions to ITU-R for IMT- Advanced.
Regards,
Mike

Subject: [802SEC] RR-TAG Conference Call - November 19th, 2010
Dear RR-TAG and EC,
At today's AM1 TVWS joint meeting with 802.11/802.18/802.19/802.22 it became apparent that there was not enough time and resources (people) available to address all three topics. Those topics were the FCC TVWS rules, the UK Ofcom consultation and the ECC proposal for TVWS rules. It was decided that latter two would be better addressed on a conference call.
The RR-TAG will host a conference call on November 19th to address responses to the above two documents. This email is to provide the 10 day notice for that call.
Bridge details will be sent next week. The call will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. CST.
The documents for the conference call are on the 802.18 Mentor web site and are:
18-10-0070 - Ofcom consultation on implementing geolocation - comments due December 7th.
18-10-0066 - Draft ECC Rep. 159 CR in White Spaces - comments due on November 30th.
Interested WGs should a) review the documents and b) develop any views prior to the call and c) submit them to the RR-TAG chair NLT the close of business CST on November 17th.
Glad to discuss.
Regards,
Mike
