To All IEEE 802 Members & Attendees:
This update contains the following information for the July 2009 IEEE 802
Plenary Session:
* Hotel reservation information - A few rooms left at the Hyatt Fisherman's
Wharf but you must Book Now !!!
* Plenary Session Web Registration - WEB REGISTRATION is now $500
We have arranged for some extra rooms at the Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf in
case you missed the HR-SF:

Located at the historic San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf the Hyatt at
Fisherman's Wharf is ideally situated for easy walking access to many of San
Francisco's most famous attractions including: Fisherman's Wharf, The
Cannery, Ghiradelli Square, Pier 39, the ferry to the Alcatraz Island Tour,
much more.

IEEE 802 Group Rate:
* $194.00 US single/double occupancy per night plus applicable taxes*.
* There is no additional charge for children 21 years or younger staying in
the same room with parents.
* taxes are currently: 14% Room Tax, 1.5% City Tax, plus $0.13/day
California Tourism Assessment Fee.
Dates the group rate is available: July 7-23, 2009 (based on hotel room
availability).
Reservations cut-off date: Wednesday, July 8, 2009 (book early - rooms are
very limited).
Cancellation Policy: No charge when cancelled prior to 6pm PDT of arrival
date.
Check In: 3 pm Check Out: 1 pm
Reservations Methods: Via the web with link above, by phone or fax (please
use the fax form provided).
Transportation Services:
* The Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf has several ground transportation options
to and from the airport. Please go to:
http://gosfovan.hudsonltd.net/res?USERIDENTRY=HYATTFW&LOGON=GO for current
schedules, rates and other information.
* To get back and forth to the meeting (at HR-SF) you can take the historic
F-Line streetcar along the Embarcadero (~5 minutes), or take the scenic
Cable Car from Ghiradelli Square to the Top of Nob Hill and then back down
the California Street line past Chinatown to the end at HR-SF on the
Embarcadero (~20 minutes). And it is only a 15-20 minute walk along the
waterfront to the HR-SF should you choose to see the sights and get some
fresh air and exercise instead. There are of course taxis and buses as well
for other transport options.

Don't you hate standing in Long Slow-Moving Lines ??? You have more

The July 2009 IEEE-802 LMSC Plenary Session will be held at the Hyatt
Regency San Francisco (at Embarcadero Center) in San Francisco, CA during
the week of July 12-17, 2009. All working groups will be meeting at the
Hyatt Regency San Francisco along with all tutorials and calls for interest.

The registration fee for this session is:
* $500US after 6pm PDT on Friday June 26, 2009 (UTC Time: 1am Saturday,
June 27, 2009).
If you are not able to register via the web for technical reasons, you may
register On-Site at the session for the same price but you will have to
stand in the line.
However, if you contact our Conference Organizers in advance, they may be
able to help you register in advance, so you can avoid those ON-Site lines.
