It has come to my attention that the 802.11y draft was approved as a
Standard this week as well.

Token Ring standards have now been withdrawn. A correction was approved to
MRP and extensions were approved to the 802.1 projects on LLDP MAC service.
The approval details are as follows:
P802.1ak-2007/Cor1/D3.0 (C/LM) IEEE Standard for Local and Metropolitan Area
Networks - Virtual Bridged Local Area Networks - Amendment 07: Multiple
Registration Protocol - Corrigendum 1: Corrections to the Multiple
Registration Protocol
Recommendation: APPROVE
P802.1AX/D2.1 (C/LM) Standard for Local and Metropolitan Area Networks -
Link Aggregation
Recommendation: Conditionally approve (yes = 9; no = 2; abstain = 0)
David Law recused himself from this vote, as he is the 802.3 Chair and
submitter of this project.
SASB approval was given after a 1 hour Executive Session.
The motion was to conditionally approve this project based on approval of
P802.3.
P802.3/D2.3 (C/LM) Standard for Information Technology - Telecommunications
and Information Exchange Between Systems - Local and Metropolitan Area
Networks - Specific Requirements Part 3: Carrier Sense Multiple Access with
Collision Detection (CSMA/CD) Access Method and Physical Layer

Recommendation: Conditionally approve

Standard for Media Access Control (MAC) Service Definition
Recommendation: Approve request for a two year extension until 2010.
Publication is likely to happen within 3 months. Until that time, the final
draft (802.3 D2.3 & 802.1AX D2.1) is the definitive document.
