Re: [802SEC] preliminary tally +++Motion to amend March 2009 venue from Rome IT to Vancouver BC+++urgent--please cast your vote quickly+++open: 26NOV07
Paul,
Actually, I do not believe I have noted on this yet. I
reluctantly vote in favor of this motion since this Hotel in Rome is a
poor choice.
The hotel has only 601 guest rooms and even though the Marriott
advertised rate for a room is 145 euros (approx $210) since we would
need to book the majority of the rooms it seems the best price we can
get is $425. There do not seem to be convenient alternative hotels for
people to stay in nearby.
I am disappointed that this is our only choice for an
international venue until 2011. We approved a motion approximately
three years ago to start holding International (non-NA) Plenary meetings
and our only choice is a bad one.
Since we are fully booked until 2011 I believe we should book a
non-NA venue before booking any additional NA venues.
Regards,
Steve
