Steve, All,

I know Dave Ringle (d.ringle@ieee.org) has been working with Stuart and Roger to modify their IPR template statements.  Contact Dave Ringle and David Law -- show them what you are currently using and ask them whether or not it needs modification.

            I see that 802.11 is changing their document templates based
on the new IEEE IPR policy.  Can you give guidance to me and the other
WG/TAG chairs as to whether we should change our templates?

Dear IEEE 802.11 Participants,

 

This is to inform you that the documentation templates have changed per
IEEE request. The disclaimer and IP policy statement at the bottom of
the templates have been removed until we can obtain clarification on
their correct language. Please stop using your current templates and
replace them with the current ones now on the web site. Also, for your
conveyance, I have included them in this email as attachments.
