[802SEC] Summary of Sixth IMT Advanced Correspondence Group Conference Call - 26 April
Dear EC,
On 26 April the RR-TAG held the sixth conference call of the IMT
Advanced correspondence group. This group's work began during the March
plenary in Orlando. The group's goal is to develop an input for the May
meeting of ITU-R WP8F in Kyoto.
The IEEE 802 WGs represented were 802.11, 802.15, 802.16, 802.20, 802.21
and 802.22. The correspondence group itself consists of the WG chairs
who expressed an interest in participating during the March plenary
meeting plus the RR-TAG. The WG chairs may appoint delegates to deal
with drafting the document but only the WG chairs (and voting members of
the RR-TAG) will be able to vote.
This sixth meeting completed the d6 version of the proposed input to the
May meeting of ITU-R WP8F. As agreed when this work was started the next
steps are the conference call ballot by 802.18 on 1 May. Presuming
approval by 802.18 the participating WGs will then begin a ballot
process on 2 May. The link below will take you to the current version of
Doc.18-07-0030 which provides the development time line. Due to time
constraints it was agreed when this work was started that the EC ballot
would be conducted in parallel to the WG ballots. The WG and EC ballots
will be for 10 days.
