Tom SiepDear EC members, Tom Siep is chairing an ad-hoc meeting tomorrow morning on archictecture that is a follow on of a similar meeting at the May Interim session where I believe the dot11, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21 and 22 groups participated. It is kind of late to notify your groups by now, but attached are the materials that will be presented for your information. Tom is working with Tony to make sure this work is coordinated with the 802-wide architecture activity. The agenda is (roughly) as follows: Summary of 802.21 work Discussion of 802.1AM PAR and Wireless architecture Discussion of Scope of proposed Study Group v. 802.1 v. 802.21 Consider and consolidate the 802.wireless community's architecture issues Discussion on how (or if) this forum should go forward Regards, --Paul ----- Original Message ----- From: Tom Siep To: Paul Nikolich Cc: 802 Architecture ; STDS-802-WIRELESS@LISTSERV.IEEE.ORG Sent: Monday, July 18, 2005 12:14 AM Subject: Notice for Monday Morning Wireless Ad Hoc Paul, Per your request, the update to the agenda and slide set to be used at the 8am Monday morning ad hoc on wireless architecture is attached for your distribution. The meeting is listed (incorrectly) as a dot11 meeting, titled WIR ARC Adhoc. It should be listed as an 802 meeting, not just dot11. As was discussed today in the 802.1 Architecture ad hoc, all members of 802 are welcome to particpate. I am concerned, however, that the room currently allocated may not be large enough. I shall check with IEEE staff to see if we have an alternative room that can accomidate more than 40 people. -- Tom Siep Cambridge Silicon Radio tom.siep@csr.com Office: +1 972 496-0766 (GMT -6) Mobile: +1 214 558-4358 ---------- This email is sent from the 802 Executive Committee email reflector.
