Comments on the Bulletin:
During this session, all IEEE 802 working groups and
technical advisory groups elected offices. <<< officers, not offices.
802.21 Media independent handOVER (not
handoff).
I
don't think IEEE 802.20 is "The Study Group on Mobile
Broadband Wireless Access" any more. Perhaps it should be "Mobile
Broadband Wireless Access Working Group".
NEED TO ADD BULLET FOR
802.21!!!!!!!
I
sent in my 802.21 bullet text in on March 20th. Here's an updated version, to
match the style of others.
The IEEE 802.21 working group is
developing standards to enable handover and interoperability between
heterogeneous network types including both 802 and non 802
networks. The IEEE
802.21 working group met for the first
time in March 2004. The group has begun to define baseline
requirements and usage scenarios.
Ajay Rajkumar
was elected as chair and Michael Williams was elected vice chair. Vivek Gupta
was appointed editor.
Upcoming IEEE 802.21
Meetings:
* 9-14 May 2004 -- IEEE 802.11
interim meeting in Anaheim, CA * 11-16 July
2004 -- IEEE 802 Plenary Meeting in Portland, OR, USA

Dear EC members,
Please review the below IEEE 802 News Bulleting
for accuracy. Please send any corrections to Karen McCabe directly as
she is trying to get this out by tomorrow. Sorry for the late
notice--I've been having troubles with the EC reflector. (Bob Grow, you
can ignore this since you have already provided feedback.)
Regards,

Hi Paul, We made your edits and have reposted.

We just need to add the 802.3
interim meeting. Per the 802.3 website, there is an interim meeting for
802.3ah 12-13 April. Just need to confirm if this is the only interim
meeting of an 802.3 group.
With this, we are ready to make live. Please
advise if "OK" to proceed (make live and send out the notice to the trade
editors), or if you need the 802 EC to review/approve
first.
Thanks! Karen
