[802SEC] message from Geoff about his 1st Vice Chair position

Dear EC members,
 
Please see the below message from Geoff.  He will not be standing for re-affirmation as 1st vice chair in March.  Therefore, I asked Howard Frazier to serve as vice-chair, and he accepted.
 
Geoff I am proud to be your friend and colleague.  It has been an honor serving on the EC with you for over these many years now, how many has it been, 8?--how time flies.   Dear EC colleagues, please join me in wishing Geoff the best in his future plans.

I have decided that it does not fit well into my future plans to sign up for another 2 year hitch as Vice Chair of IEEE 802. Since my term is up as of the end of the March meeting, this seems like a good time to step aside and let someone else have the job as part of the regularly scheduled turnover.

I have certainly enjoyed working with you. I expect to be available for whatever consultation you desire on 802 matters for the foreseeable future.
