Geoff,

You may be right. I was thinking more of the letters that covered patents
by description rather than by number (which I think is the majority of 
letters that we've gotten on 802). I don't recall those restricting
based upon country. In any case, we care about our standards globally.

My recollection is that most patent letters on issued patents refer only to 
the US Patent. Most of the boilerplate that I have ever seen on this does 
not assure license to "the US patent and foreign equivalents" or anything 
like that.
