RE: IEEE 802 Rules Change Ballot--Elimination of Friday Plenary Meeting
Buzz, I believe that for any large groups with active projects face-to-face
meeting time is always in critically short supply. Even if Friday is
treated like a single "interim" meeting day, i.e. not counted toward
meeting attendance requirements, it would be very valuable to hold such
meetings. I know that 802.5 used them beneficially on a number of
occasions to help move the work forward.
Best regards.

Meeting
Dave, Unfortunately, I don't think that is the plan at least as it has
been discussed so far. The proposal was that the WG's still complete
their work by Thursday afternoon but that the SEC meeting gets moved
to Friday AM so that SEC members have more time to prepare for
the meeting. Whether some WGs might want to schedule
additional working sessions for Thursday PM or Friday that would
retain the room block has not been discussed (at least not with me!).
So I'll pose the question: Does anyone see merit in this suggestion ???.
Thanx, Buzz
