SEC OFFICIAL EMAIL BALLOT 802.0/7Jan2000
Issue Date: 7Jan2000 Closing Date: 14Jan2000
Moved By: Vic Hayes
Move: Authorize sending the UK-RA Letter (9263-r7-8W-UK-RA) as below.
Information:
At the Kauai ExCom closing meeting, I showed a motion to submit the paper to
the UK RA. Due to the short time the document has been available, and some
comments from ExCom members, I withdrew the motion with the promise to come
back with an e-mail ballot. After re-editing by the Regulatory ad-hoc group
the update was sent to the reflector of 802.11 with the question whether
there was any objection. I did not receive any objection, so here is the
request to do the e-mail ballot. The letter UK-RA has suggested another way
to achieve coexistence between HIPERLAN and 802.11, which 802.11 supports.
The letter was approved unanimously in 802.11 at the Kauai meeting (25,0,1).
The filing date is January 28.
